Books

Since his early childhood, Frank has had an interest in books. In his parents’ bookshelf, there was a book about Hieronymus Bosch that particularly caught his attention. It was frightening yet thrilling. Beautifully painted, but also grotesque and surprising in its visual language.

This fascination with books only grew stronger over time. In his teenage years, he became interested in graffiti black books (the sketchbooks used by graffiti writers), and during his time at the art academy, he was introduced to poetry. For Frank, it is not just the content of a book that matters, but also its form—the aesthetics, typography, white space, the paper used, and the bookbinding cloth. All these elements play a role in his books.
